Yewon Shin started her musical studies in Korea at the age of 10 with Yoojin Kim before moving to Vancouver where she studied with flutist Bernard Blary. Ms. Shin currently plays the flute for various professional ensembles in the Lower Mainland and is based out of Coquitlam.
Pianist and lyric bass Eric Hominick is on the music faculty at Vancouver Community College, teaches both piano and singing, and accompanies a wide range of musical soloists and ensembles. An eclectic and versatile artist, this Nova Scotian also works as a repetiteur, arranger, cruise ship entertainer and special function pianist.
Mark De Silva was a member of choral ensembles in the UK, USA, and Canada, performing in concerts and tours in North America, Europe and Asia. He is an alumnus of Laudate Singers, the Vancouver Cantata Singers and the Vancouver Chamber Choir. Mark has appeared as a guest soloist in performances of oratorios with ensembles throughout BC.
Susannah Blary is a sought-after player in the Lower Mainland. Mrs. Blary began playing the horn in middle school in Calgary, Alberta and eventually joined the Calgary Stampede Showband, performing with
them around the world. Mrs. Blary’s horn teachers include Laurie Matiation and Kurt Kellan, and she currently plays with the Fraser Valley Symphony.
Bernard Blary features as a soloist with orchestras and chamber groups across the US, Canada, Europe and South America, often premiering works by Canadian, American, and European composers. He is principal flutist with the Surrey City Orchestra and was principal flutist with the Burnaby Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leonard Camplin. He resides in Maple Ridge working as a freelance flutist, teacher, and arranger.
